The Ohio Environmental Health Association (OEHA) would like to invite students to our annual Southwest OEHA conference on October 3, 2019 for a poster presentation session.

This will be an interactive event in which students can show off their academic studies within the field of environmental health. A group of environmental health professionals will judge the posters, as well as the abstracts, and the winning student will receive an award from the Southwest OEHA! All abstracts and posters will be listed in the conference handout as well as published on the OEHA websites.

Abstract Rules:

Include a brief (one paragraph) synopsis, single spaced, with 12-point times New Roman font. We ask that abstracts do not exceed 500 words. Contact information, such as email and phone number, must be provided on the abstract. Submitted abstracts must be in their final form. Revisions and/or edits are not possible once submitted. Abstract selection criteria is as follows:

  1. Quality: Presentation submissions should be well organized and easily understood.
  2. Relevance: Presentation submissions should be relevant to the interests of the environmental health audience.
  3. Impact: Presentation submissions should contribute educational information. Topics such as emerging environmental health issues, important results, methodologies, or case studies of special significance will be favorably considered.
  4. Originality: Presentation submissions on innovative technologies, case studies for innovative designs, or other novel results that contribute to OEHA’s high-quality educational program for students will be favorably considered.

All abstracts must be emailed to Emily Warren at ewarren@phdmc.org by September 1, 2019. You will be notified by September 9th, 2019 if your abstract is accepted for presentation and posting on website.
