On-Campus Interviewing (OCI)
A highly effective way to recruit engineering students from Ohio State is through OCI. The recruiting process is facilitated through Handshake, our online career services management system, with the overall goal of making your experience as seamless as possible.
If you choose to conduct virtual interviews, you may use the conferencing platform of your choice. If your company is looking to conduct virtual interviews, you can manage those schedules through Handshake.
Types of Interview Schedule Timelines:
- Preselect: Specify an application period and a sign-up period. You select primary and alternate student choices after the application period. Primary candidates are allowed to sign up before alternate candidates.
- Preselect Continuous: Specify an application period in which students who pass both the specified qualifications and are manually approved are allowed to take slots.
Room Only: Choosing this type reserves a room at ECS via Handshake. You can select students for this interview schedule, but interview sign-ups will be managed by you outside of Handshake.
Open: Specify an application period where if students meet the qualifications set for the interview, they can take slots. The students will be able to take a slot immediately after applying.
Use Handshake's written instructions for the in-person interview scheduling process.

If you require accommodation for a disability, such as live captioning or sign language interpretation, to participate in any career fairs, events, or activities, please contact ECS at email@example.com. Requests made two weeks before the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
