What is BOSS?

If you aren’t familiar with BOSS , it’s a semester-long competition where you will work closely with Costart and TCO staff to reach milestones and take your startup idea to the next level.

 

30 student startups of any level of development give 90-second pitches. Bust out your PowerPoints, business plans, interpretive dance, videos. Anything goes.

9/8 SUBMISSION DEADLINE

15 teams survive and continue to work closely with BOSS panelists to conduct market research, contact potential customers, and work hard. A second round of 5-minute pitches pares the field to 5. 9/9-10 first BOSS pitch event
advancing teams notified later
5 final teams compete at the end of the semester, pitching their companies to an outside panel of judges. Two winners are chosen to receive exclusive assistance and resources from TCO. 10/2-3 second BOSS pitch event
advancing teams notified later
2 winning teams will begin working with committed TCO staff to accelerate and launch their startup. The total number of hours and resources offered will be determined case by case. 11/19 BOSS finale @ TCO winners announced

• this is an exclusive group of student entrepreneurs.
• there are only 30 slots, so sign up early.
• startups at any stage in development are accepted.
• you have nothing to lose, and a ton of experience to gain.
