Career Week

Career Week (Tuesday, September 5 through Friday, September 8, 2023) prepares rising juniors, graduating seniors, and graduate students with the professional skills necessary for a successful full-time search. It is strategically placed prior to E-Council Engineering Expo (September 18 and 19), allowing participating companies to engage early with top engineering talent.

Why Sponsor?

Sponsors have the opportunity to brand their company and engage with students prior to the Expo. Being a sponsor of Career Week is a benefit that ECS Platinum Partners enjoy. There is also the opportunity for companies to sponsor Career Week without being an ECS Partner.

Your generous $1000 sponsorship grants your company the following benefits:

  • Name and logo on all Career Week marketing materials: Examples include event website, workshop slides, program materials/handouts, social media campaigns, & email outreach recognizing company sponsors.

  • Inclusion in Career Week signature event, Network-ish: On Thursday, Sept. 7 from 1pm-5pm, employers and students will interact via this drop-in style event at the Blackwell. Engage with students regarding their resumes, elevator pitches, your company, networking, & more! Sponsoring companies may send two company reps to the event.

  • Meet the Sponsors Night participation: Happening after Network-ish on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 6pm-7:30pm. Your two company reps can participate in the following:

  1. Sponsor Mini-Panels: One rep from your company shares expertise with students seeking career employment in a topical mini-panel (mini-panel topics & your specific time will be shared as event date gets closer).
  2. Resume Drop/Meet & Greets: One rep from your company does quick 1:1 chats with students, and students have the opportunity to drop their resume off at your table. Happening concurrent to the Mini-Panels.

Non Sponsor Option

Participation in the signature event, Network-ish, does not require sponsorship and is available to additional interested employers for a nominal fee of $400. The non-sponsor option allows you to send one company representative to the event.

Network-ish

On Thursday, Sept. 7 from 1pm-5pm, employers and students will interact via this drop-in style event. Engage with students regarding their resumes, elevator pitches, your company, networking, & more! Employers may send one company rep to the event. You also get you company's name and logo on Network-ish event info.

Snapshot of Student Events

Students may pick and choose from a menu of events being offered throughout the week.

  • Network-ish (Signature Event): Drop-in style event that allows employers to connect with students, educate them on a variety of topics, and promote their company in a 1:1 format.

  • Meet the Sponsors Night: Students have the opportunity to learn from sponsoring employers about what it takes to be successful when seeking career employment. They can also drop their resumes in the hands of employers!

  • Professional Preparation: Career-seeking students will enhance their knowledge of resumes, interviewing, salary negotiation, and more. ECS will also incorporate events specific to international students and graduate students.

  • Photo Booth: ECS will be providing a photographer so students can get headshots for their LinkedIn and Handshake profiles for the 2023-2024 school year.

Requesting Accommodations

If you require accommodation for a disability such as live captioning or sign language interpretation to participate in any career fairs, events, or activities, please contact ECS at eng-ecs@osu.edu.
