Engineering Expo 2019: You Asked and We Listened!

You asked and we listened!

Did you know that prior to 2016, the Engineering Expo career fair was held on one day? Due to the number of employers interested in recruiting top engineering talent from Ohio State, we switched to a two day career fair in 2016. While the two day career fair created more opportunities for you by allowing more employers to attend the career fair, you’ve told us over and over again that attending two back-to-back career fair days is exhausting― and we agree!

To give you a break between the two career fair days, we are excited to announce that the format for the Engineering Expo has changed. We will offer two career fair days and two next-day interview events, plus one day off in between! The dates for the 2019 Engineering Expo are:

  • Monday, September 23 – Day 1 of the Engineering Expo
  • Tuesday, September 24 – Day 1 of Next-Day Interviews
  • Wednesday, September 25 – Take a break from the career fair and interviews! Recharge and get ready for day 2 of the career fair and interviews!
  • Thursday, September 26 – Day 2 of the Engineering Expo
  • Friday, September 27 – Day 2 of Next-Day Interviews

If you are someone who likes to keep the momentum going and want to continue connecting with employers on Wednesday, join us for our 3rd annual ECS Partner Day! This is an opportunity for engineering students to meet with employer representatives and learn about co-op, internship, and career employment opportunities.  Since it will be a casual networking opportunity, stop by on your way to or from class. The ECS Partners that will be present are US Navy/NUPOC, Capital One, and Niagara Bottling. Company representatives will be in the Knowlton Plaza on Wednesday, September 25th from 10am to 1pm.

Don't forget to download the Career Fair+ app, and log into Handshake to prepare. As always, you’ll be receiving a survey after the Engineering Expo. We’ll ask your thoughts on the new format, so please let us know what you think. Best of luck to you at the 2019 Engineering Expo!
