Amy Thaci is the Director of Engineering Career Services.
Welcome back to campus! I took a walk the other day around the stadium and heard the percussion section practicing nearby —so I know the time is near.
As the busy fall semester unfolds and you begin to figure out your classes, homework, and activities load, don’t forget to add events happening with Engineering Career Services to your calendar. The Engineering Expo is right around the corner— September 26th and 27th at the Ohio Union from 1:00pm – 6:00pm. We are proud to be the host, along with Engineers’ Council, to one of the biggest job fairs at Ohio State!
Due to the volume of employers that you could potentially meet, it’s important to prepare ahead of time—so come to one of the Career Fair Success workshops which will be held on September 14th, September 19th and September 25th. After August 18th, you will be able to find details and the entire list of fall workshops and locations, click here.
Employer hiring plans for fall recruiting for the Class of 2018 look very promising according to NACE’s Job Outlook, and engineering remains a top “in demand” degree at all levels. Our on-campus recruiting schedule is already booked with employers who will be holding interviews for internships/co-ops and full time positions, so don’t miss out! Get registered with ECS to take full advantage of our services.
We are here to help, so please make ECS one of your stops this semester!
