Job Shadow sign-ups start next week!

These days almost your entire job search is conducted online.  Many engineering students wish they had more contact with employers and a chance to make an impression…in-person.  The 2013 OSU Engineering Job Shadow Program allows you to do just that.  Job Shadow allows you the opportunity to visit an Ohio company’s site to network with company representatives, observe engineers, and learn more about jobs in your major.

Here are this year’s participating employers:

Abrasive Technology, Accenture, American Electric Power, AMETEK Solidstate Controls, ARCADIS, ArcelorMittal, CallCopy, Cardinal Health, Charter Steel, Control Devices (Stoneridge), Diebold, DuPont, Eaton, Elford, Emerson Climate Technologies, Emerson Network Power, EWI, Exel, FeneTech, Franklin County Engineer's Office, GE Aviation, GE Lighting, General Motors, Heapy Engineering, Hirschvogel, Husky Energy Lima Refining Company, Hyland Software, IBM, KLH Engineers, Lake Shore Cryotronics, LuK USA, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Micro Industries, ms consultants, NiSource, Rimrock Corporation, Rockwell Automation, Rosetta, Sierra Lobo, Stantec Consulting Services, Swagelok, Target, Tata Consultancy Services, THK Manufacturing of America, Tosoh SMD, Turner Construction Company, United Controls Group, United States Steel, Whirlpool, Yost Engineering

Job Shadow takes place during OSU’s Spring Break Week.  You get to pick the company you visit (although you may visit more than one!). You connect one-on-one with employers that hire your major.  You learn more about your field.  Savvy students use Job Shadow to line up employment.  So what are you waiting for?  Come into ECS between 9am-4pm Thurs. Jan. 31, Fri. Feb. 1, Mon. Feb. 4, or Tues. Feb. 5 to sign up.  Early birds get first dibs on opportunities!
