Engineering Career Expo: Wednesday, September 19th
Are you looking for a full-time job for after your upcoming graduation in December or May? Are you looking for an internship or co-op for anytime within the next 12 months? You will not want to miss the Engineering Career Expo on September 19th! The Expo will be held from 11AM-4PM in the Ohio Union. Over 220 companies will be on hand to discuss their internship, co-op, and career opportunities.
Advanced copies of the programs will be on sale for $3 (cash only) outside of the ECS office in Hitchcock Hall on the following dates: Sept 13, 14, 17 and 18 from 10AM – 4PM. Programs will also be available at Expo on Sept 19.
Be prepared for the fair by having your “elevator speech” about yourself ready to go, plus doing research on the companies you want to make a great impression on before you step foot through the door! Look at the “Events” tab in your CareerEngine job search account to see who’s coming (you can search by major and what type of job you are seeking), and the “Employers” tab for more information on each company and a link to their personal website. To polish off your professional attire, keep your resumes, notes, and business cards in a nice folder or stop by the ECS front desk to purchase a College of Engineering padfolio ($15), provided by Kappa Theta Epsilon (KTE), the engineering co-op and internship honorary society.
For career fair tips, be sure to check out the Student Handbook.
ECS also has a variety of upcoming workshops you may attend prior to the Career Fair, including:
To RSVP for a workshop, log in to your CareerEngine account and go to Events→Workshops. Be sure to RSVP early, as these workshops fill up quickly!
