SWE Career Fair: Feb. 15th
February 13, 2012
Looking for a co-op, internship, part-time or full-time employment? The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Career Fair is in one week – on Wednesday, February 15th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and is open to ALL engineering students (not just women!). The fair will be held at the Ohio Union in the Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom and the Performance Hall; student check-in will be on the second floor.
Advanced copies of the programs will be on sale for $2 outside of the ECS office in Hitchcock Hall this Monday and Tuesday (the 13th & 14th). Programs will also be available at the career fair for $4.
Be prepared for the fair by having your “elevator speech” about yourself ready to go, plus doing research on the companies you want to make a great impression on before you step foot through the door! Look at the “Events” tab in your job search account to see who’s coming (you can search by major and what type of job you are seeking), and the “Employers” tab for more information on each company and a link to their personal website. To polish off your professional attire, keep your resumes, notes, and business cards in a nice folder or stop by the ECS front desk to purchase a College of Engineering padfolio ($12), provided by the Kappa Theta Epsilon (KTE) engineering co-op and internship honorary.
