- “Absolutely worthwhile.”
- “You can be told what companies do but you'll never know for sure until you actually go and see for yourself.”
- “Used the program to see what my interests were and to find out whether I would like those kinds of jobs or not. The job shadowing program really helped me sort through that.”
- “The job-shadow program was probably the best tool I have used while hunting for a co-op/internship.”
Sign-ups for the 2012 OSU Engineering Job Shadow Program are next week! Job shadow happens only once a year…so don’t miss this chance to connect with engineering employers and learn about engineering careers. Savvy students are even using the opportunity to network their way into a job. The program happens during OSU’s Spring Break Week…but it’s only a ONE day commitment.
Interested in signing up? It only takes a few minutes and is first-come, first-served basis. Visit ECS (199 HI) any of the following days (Thurs. 2/9, Fri. 2/10, Mon. 2/13, or Tues. 2/14) between 9am -4pm to sign up. Unlike the interview process…where an employer selects you, YOU get to select the employer that you would like to visit. We hope to see you during sign-ups!
- "You have to recognize when the right place and the right time fuse and take advantage of that opportunity. There are plenty of opportunities out there. You can't sit back and wait."
