2010 Job Shadow Program

Having trouble landing an internship or co-op position? Want the opportunity to have increased face time with employers that hire students in your major? Interested in learning more about your chosen field in a short period of time? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions...then you should participate in the 2010 OSU Engineering Job Shadow Program. The Job Shadow Program happens over OSU Spring Break week in various Ohio cities. There are 46 companies participating this year.

Here's how it works...

  1. Come into Engineering Career Services next week (Feb. 22-26) between 8:00am and 4:00pm to sign up. Job Shadow Coordinators will let you know what companies are interested in your major, where the shadows are located (all are in Ohio!), and what the companies do. Then you select the companies that you'd like to visit. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Since the shadows are only for one day-you can sign up for more than one.

  2. Once you make your company selections, you'll receive a company info sheet with all of the shadow details (dress codes, maps, company contacts, parking info, etc.).

  3. After sign-ups end, we'll notify the employers of the students that are visiting their companies so that they know who to expect.

  4. You will then job shadow at your selected companies the day(s) you signed up for during spring break week. (You will provide your own transportation to and from the shadow locations!)
